"Jody here a 30 year old mom of 2. A beautiful 11 yr old girl and a sexy 23 yr old fiance. lol  My fiance and I are both HCV  positive. He is currently in state prison. We are trying to find things he can do to stay healthy inside. He works out and I make sure he gets vitamins but they don't have greentea or milkthistle available, 2 things I swear by. He is progressing alot faster then I am. He had the virus when we met, he was only 18 then. Because of our drug use together I tested positive a short time later.  Hes got another year inside.  I am now in college to make a better home for our family.  I have faced alot of discrimination trying to work so I am entering the medical feild. Uneducated people have caused so many road blocks in my recovery from drug addiction. Just because I am honest about my being positive and how I got HCV even the local hospital is hard to deal with.  My friends and family are very supportive and see how responsible I am with keeping them safe. I wish other people would be more willing to ask questions and be smarter about HCV.  It is a common problem in the two small towns that make up my home area and people just don't understand it. I v drug use is common practice here and is killing young people everyday. Its just not talked about."

“my name  is chris from st. francisville La. ....  a while back here, i  was in  ocshner hospital in n.o. La. for a liver transplant.  i am much better. i enjoyed your website i found it to have a lot of good info.

                   “take care                 chris”

“This is a great website, my wife, bless her heart, found this place for me.

“I gotta tell you, though, I've been avoiding posting anything here.  No offense, but it just about makes me angry to see a guy riding his bike, going to his job & having a good 'ol time.

“Are you on these medicines ? If so, then you're made out of some kind of better grit, or you're not taking the MAXIMUM doses of this shit, or you're 3 times bigger than me, I dunno.  I guess this is a rude way to drop in here, but it's the way I feel, & why I've been putting off dropping in.  Well....I guess i just banged out a 'round file' e-mail here. That's alright.

“This IS a very commendable website, though, my friend. All the best to all of you fighting this scourge.

“Dear Editor and Staff:

“I would like to thank you for including the information about Veterans being infected with Hep C by the jetguns used to vaccinate them.  1 in 10 Veterans are infected with Hep C and most don't know it.  Thank you for spreading the message and helping us find them.

“If there's is ever anything we can do for you, please let us know.

“Hi my name is cindy, and I've just found out I have hep C. So getting any info is great for me. This  site is the first that I could really connect to. So thankS a lot”

“Wow, what a site! Really impressed. I just completed treatment for hep C-genotype 2.  Mine is from a blood transfusion back in 1979, and I was diagnosed in April of this year.  That is 28 yrs later. Scary! I go to the doc tomorrow in the first of 6 months of watching and waiting to see if the treatment worked. It is tough and it is hard, as many of you have stated. I don't know if I could do the treatment any longer. Best of luck to all of you!

“Hi there

“After having surgury in 2000, I was told in 2003 I had hep-c. I went on the interferon treatment for 48 weeks [which was hell].  When I was thru I had a clean bill of health! No more virus in my system. When I had my liver biopsy I was at the beginning stages of liver disease, stage 1 they caught it early. Unfortunatly I lost my insurance since then. I am not a tea totaler and have pushed this whole thing out of my mind! However I don't feel good lately and I don't know if my virus is back or I have too much on my plate. With the help of the most most wonderful man I will have insuranse again in a few weeks and should be checked. I would like to know if there is a chance it is back? If so did it do any good for me put my family thru treatment again? Will my new insurance cover a prexsisting problem? Bottom line is my family went thru such hell for possibly nothing! If it is back is it worth doing again? I have heard it is silent killer but not like cancer. Should I keep quiet? Or should I find out? My Husband and kids are the most important thing to me and if I don't have to I would NEVER put them thru that again!!!!!!!!! What now?????
